Yasmine Al-Khouri
is a
junior at Florida State University.
Robert E. Austin
graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1996 with a B.S
in Business Administration specializing in Hospitality Management.
Currently Robert is the Chief Accountant at the Hyatt Regency Grand
Cypress in Orlando. On weekends you can see him at Walt Disney
World’s Magic Kingdom dancing down Main Street USA.
Crystal Bailey
is a senior at the University of South Florida majoring in
elementary education.
Danielle Baker
is a sophomore at the University of Arizona where she is majoring in
dance.
Jaclyn Baker
has recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in
dance where she received dance scholarships.
Nicole Baker
graduated with a BFA in dance from the University of Arizona. She
has been seen touring with Radio City Music Hall Rockettes as well
as the national and international touring cast of "Fosse".
Nicole currently resides in New York City.
Melody Boza
graduated
with a BFA in dance from
the University of The Arts in Philadelphia where she received
a promising artist scholarship.
Kalei Boyle
is currently a sophomore at the University of South Florida where
she is majoring in athletic training and will later continue to
pursue a doctorate in physical therapy.
Megan Bradshaw
is a current graduate of the University of South Florida. She
received her in BA in dance studies and will continue to pursue a
degree in nursing this fall. Megan teaches pre-dance, pre-tap and
ballet/jazz classes weekly at the Academy.
Lisa Brueggemeier
is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in business
management. She was a member of the University of Florida dance
team.
Kim Chambers
is a senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in dance.
Last summer she was given the opportunity to perform with master
teacher Danny Buraczerski.
Angela Pupello
Cistone
credits include: Broadway: The Drowsy Chaperone (current
original cast), Grease! (Rizzo), Saturday Night Fever
(original cast). Off-Broadway: Bat Boy, Avenue X. National
Tours: Les Miserables (Eponine - San Fran. Critics Choice
Nominee), Grease! (Rizzo), Starlight Express. Regional:
A Few Good Men (Joanne Galloway), The Hunchback of Notre
Dame (Esmeralda- Drama Logue Award), Urban Cowboy
(Sissy – original cast), Everything’s Ducky and others.
Television: The Handler (w/ Joe Pantaliano), Law & Order,
Malcolm in the Middle, The Chronicle. Film:
Lucky, The Kids’ Table (NY Indie Best Supporting Actress
Award), Grind, The Jerky Boys and the upcoming
Parting Words and West of Brooklyn. Angela has
participated in both 2004 and 2005 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festivals in
Aspen with Sketch Comedy group “For The Kids.” Her husband, Danny
Cistone, is the director and Co-Creator of a new Hip-Hop/Spoken Word
and Break Dancing show called Groovaloo.
Cheryl Copeland
graduated with a BFA in dance University of the Arts in
Pennsylvania. After touring with Tap Kids as an assistant to
well-known tap choreographer Lisa Hopkins and serving as resident
choreographer from the Teen Dance Company of the Bay area, Cheryl
relocated to Los Angeles, where she now instructs at the Millennium
Dance Complex and the Edge. She continues to choreograph for studios
all over the U.S. and is in the process of founding her own modern
dance company.
Angela Crawford
is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Cheerleader. She is a graduate with
an Associate's Degree from Hillsborough Community College.
Marinda Davis
is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York where she
received a BFA in dance. She is currently teaching and setting
choreography at studios in the tri-state area and teaching for
Starpower.
Krisha Despenas
is
currently teaching numerous disciplines at the Academy and is the
Junior Division Director of Universal Movement.
April Dumas
teaches numerous classes at the Academy and is the Assistant Junior
Company Director of Universal Movement.
Jaime Fimiani
graduated with a finance degree from the University of Florida. She
was a member of the dance team, performing at college games and
events.
Rachel Foster
is a
graduate of Fordham University where she received a BFA in dance.
She works part-time at the Alvin Ailey Dance Company in New York.
Rachel continues to audition for Broadway productions.
Alana Freedland
is a
freshman at the University of Florida.
Amanda Garland
graduated with a BFA in dance from the University of South Florida.
She now teaches numerous disciplines at the Academy and is the
assistant to the directors of Universal Movement. She has been a
guest instructor for Dance Masters of America and is also an adjunct
instructor at Blake High School of the Performing Arts.
Michael Giocondo
currently teaches classes at the Academy and continues to perform in
numerous community theatre productions.
Annette Alvarez-Gutches,
one of Mary Jo’s first students, graduated from Florida Atlantic
University with BAE in Education and is the owner and director of
Annette’s ULTIMATE DANCE in Melbourne, Florida, recently relocated
from Ft. Lauderdale. Her students have won numerous scholarships,
titles, special awards and are dancing professionally. She is also
an active member of Florida Dance Masters and Dance Masters of
America, Ch.2. Annette is also a Reading Coach for the Brevard
County School System.
Jessica Hanson
is a freshman at Florida State University where she is majoring in
pre-law.
Deana Jansen
is a graduate
of the University of South Florida where she received a BFA in
dance. She has performed at Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream and
recently traveled to Italy to perform for Rhythmic Rapture.
Rachel Jones
is a recent
graduate of the University of South Florida where she received a
degree in Early Childhood Education. She will begin graduate school
this June in Early Childhood Education. Rachel will be teaching at
Carrollwood Day School beginning this fall.
Heather Kemp
graduated with
a BFA in dance from the University of South Florida and just
completed her Masters degree from California State University.
Nena LaFleur
is a graduate
of the University of Central Florida where she majored in
engineering and minored in musical theater.
Lauren Landeta
is currently a sophomore at the University of Florida and is
currently a member of the UF Dazzlers Dance Team.
Meghan Martinez
graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in dance. Meghan
has been seen on stage dancing behind Alice Cooper, Willa Ford and
Ryan Joy. Meghan currently resides in Los Angeles and teaches a
variety of classes at Millennium Dance Complex while performing with
Wayne-Foster Entertainment.
Ashley Morgan
graduated from the University of South Florida with an engineering
degree.
Megan Morgan
was a 2004 graduate of Blake High School of the Performing Arts. She
is currently dancing for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines.
Sarah Nelson
is a
freshman at the University of Florida and is currently a member of
UF Dazzlers Dance Team.
Kristen O'Rear
is a 2004 Cum Laude graduate of Florida State University and is
attending Medical School at the University of South Florida. She was
2nd Runner Up in the 2004 Miss Florida Pageant, capturing
preliminary awards in swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Kristen
has also been seen as a Radio City Rockette both on tour and in New
York. She is currently performing with Evention Show Productions.
Romy Posner
is a sophomore at Florida State University majoring in interior
design.
Dana Rodriguez graduated from
the University of South Florida with a degree in dance and her
Master of Fine Arts degree in Performing Arts Management from
Brooklyn College. She has been performing, teaching dance, and
working at various performing arts organization since. She toured
extensively with Shari Lewis’ Lamb Chops & Friends. In 1996
she was certified in Active-Isolated Stretching by Maximum
Performance International and received her Pilates Mat Certification
for the Kane School of Core Integration in New York City. Dana has
worked as an administrator for New York City Ballet, Dance Theater
Workshop and New York City Center. Currently, Dana is a member of
the dance faculty at Monroe Dance Academy in Connecticut and is the
Director of Education of the Connecticut Ballet.
Stephanie Rotolo
is a
junior at the University of South Florida where she is a
pre-medicine major.
Jamie Tolson
is a freshman at the University of Florida.
Alexandra Walford
is currently in her third year in the Florida State University
Honors Program where she is working to complete a double major in
Political Science and Multinational Business Operations. She is an
active member of the Iota chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and
travels part-times as a Regional Makeup artist for Estee Lauder.
Brian Williams
was the
former drum major for Florida A&M University. He is also the
choreographer of the acclaimed movie Drumline. His
choreography earned him a nominee for best choreography in a movie.
He has also been seen performing in the Busch Gardens show
Katonga.
Elisabeth Yount
is
currently studying studio arts and communications at Florida State
University and will be dancing for Busch Gardens this summer.
Cathy Hill Zabel
danced for years at Mary Jo’s. She performed in Superbowl Pregame
shows. She now resides in Wisconsin and is a wife, mother of two
wonderful boys and a registered nurse. |
