Craig VanTilbury hails from Arlington VA, and has played professionally since the age of sixteen. Craig was only nine when he learned to play the clarinet for his elementary school band. In 7th grade, Craig learned to play the guitar and studied music theory, and by 9th grade, was asked to join the high school jazz ensemble. He also played in his high school marching band and orchestra. After graduation, Craig played in local Washington D.C. bands until moving away in 1978.  The next thirty years were spent playing and traveling throughout the world with stars such as: Joey Dee and the Starlighters, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Steve Winwood, Charles Neville, The Tokens, The Coasters, The Platters, Wolfman Jack, Gary US Bonds, Shirley Austin Reeves of the Shirelles, Eddie and Dave Brigatti and Gene Cornish of The Young Rascals, Little Eva, Brian Highland (Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini), The Shangri-Las, Lenny Welsh, Bobby Lewis, Phil Philips, Peggy March, The Crystals, among others.  Craig’s vast musical knowledge and well rounded attitude has made hima sought after player and teacher in the Tampa-St. Pete area since moving to Florida in 1992.
