Mary Jo's
Performing Arts Academy is a prevailing organization specializing in
Dance, Acting, and Voice education. The academy began in 1978 as Mary
Jo's Dance Studio and has grown to include all the performing arts
disciplines.
The Academy
is tailored to
meet the educational needs and requirements of artistically oriented
students who seek superior professional training in the performing
arts along with the needs of the child interested in pursuing the
study of the performing arts as an extra curricular activity.

Our policies are
intended to insure that every student receives utmost attention, an
opportunity to advance, and to support the disciplines so vital to
the success of every personal achievement.
Our facility consists of five spacious dance rooms with spring
hardwood floors. There is also a fully matted acrobatic room
(providing utmost safety), an acting and voice room, and a workout
room.
Our faculty
provides outstanding instruction in all disciplines of dance, acting
and voice. These caring highly trained instructors hold professional
degrees and certification to teach in their specific disciplines.
Our faculty members also represent years of professional performing
careers that enhances and develops our programs and curriculum. All
have had extensive teaching experience and are continually
increasing their knowledge through training workshops, clinics, and
conventions.
All classes taught at Mary Jo’s Performing Arts Academy are not only
geared to the physical and technical development of the student, but
also to the development of a positive self-attitude and self-image.
Throughout the program students receive the thoughtful, intensive
training needed to develop the skill, experience, and discipline
required for any professional career. The physical, mental and
emotional discipline and enjoyment derived by serious dance, acting,
and voice is unmatched by any other athletic endeavor.
Mary Jo’s
Performing Arts Academy is dedicated to providing the tools
necessary for students to effectively perform and compete in the
national marketplace. Instruction is provided for all ages from
preschool to adult. It is our goal to provide excellence in
performing arts education while instilling in each individual the
confidence and self-esteem necessary to succeed in any field they
choose.
